Today’s dermal fillers can do so much more than just correcting wrinkles: it is more like a “mini facelift” with the ability to add volume and contour your facial features including nose, lips, cheeks, temples, jawline, and even depressed scars.

At Richmond Laser Skin Care & Wellness Centre, Dr. Phoebus Wong offers different types of popular dermal fillers approved by Health Canada:

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers: including the Juvederm family (Voluma, Vobella, Ultra Plus), the Belotero Family (Intense, Volume, Soft). These fillers are made with cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally substance found in almost every single living creature and highly compatible with our bodies.  Augmentation results usually last from 6 months to 1 year, depending on type of HA fillers and area of injection.

Radiesse, a Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a sodium carboxymethylcellulose gel carrier: The action of Radiesse is supposed to stimulate the injection site’s own collagen growth, therefore the results of injection should be longer lasting than HA filler – normally at least a year to two years.  CaHA microspheres will naturally degrade to calcium and phosphate ions, which are metabolized by the body’s normal processes.

The Stylage Family (XXL, L, M, S)
